It has brought to my attention that on one fine day, I was searching for “long sleeve sweaters” in the Google Adwords Tools, out of a sudden, the phase “Obama Long Sleeve” pops up with few thousands searches per month. When I tried to google it, it says about 875,000 searches on the keyword “Obama Long Sleeve” itself. Are people crazy about Obama?

I believe among all the 875k searches, some of them are potential customers, some even include the marketers, advertisers or researchers. If you are really good at the research, try to type “Obama” at the search bar, you won’t be surprise that over million searches on monthly basis. Other ex-presidents like George Bush or Bill Clinton may not have the same searches during their presidency. It simply means a clear point, Obama’s popularity is definitely much much higher.

Just like the first ever successful movie merchandise, Star Wars Trilogy, it started as a movie, then toys, cups, t-shirt, etc. Many people is searching for Obama’s biography. He born in Honolulu, became Senate in Illinois State, then President in Washington. Anything related to him is marketable and selling like hot cakes.

You can easily find the t-shirt with wording of “Obama, obama”, “Obama 08”, “I love Obama” and the famous quote, “Yes We Can” plain color t-shirt could cost $25 bucks or more. How marketable is Obama by his name!
